Virtual Machine Host is a new data class which reports if the current Operating System is run inside a Virtual Machine Host environment. Reported data includes the name of the VM host, the VM software name, version, and vendor.
System Serial, System Model, and System Vendor information on most Solaris X86 and X64 systems is now provided. System hardware must support SMBIOS and be running Solaris 10 06/06 or later. Both Sun branded hardware as well as non-Sun branded hardware is supported.
Sun System Serial Numbers for Sun X64 hardware, including V20z, V40z, X4100, and X4200, are now provided in the General class under Serial Number.
Mac Hardware discovery has been greatly improved including more agressive filtering of pseudo "driver" devices previously reported. We also have enhanced CPU data.
CPU Count data in the General class has been revamped to more accurately reflect multi-core CPU's and for consistancy. The The following description changes have been made:
"CPU Count - Physical" is a new item which provides the count of physical CPUs which includes each core on multi-core CPUs.
"Number of CPUs (Physical)" is now "CPU Count - Socketed"
"Number of CPUs (Virtual)" is now "CPU Count - Virtual"
"Number of CPUs (Online)" is now "CPU Count - Online"
"Number of CPUs (Offline)" is now "CPU Count - Offline"
The report keys for all of these remain the same.
IP Forwarding Enabled is now reported as part of the Network class.
USB Device Database has been added to augment and enhance reporting of USB devices.
DHCP Client configuration information is now reported as part of the Network Interface class.
Installer improvements have been implemented to check to make sure the installer is being run on the proper platform.
